One of the most incredible mansions I have ever seen. 16,000 square feet, 15 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, 8 car garage, indoor pool, and a ton more. Built by Alfred J. Fisher of Fisher body in 1926 !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

wow, it looks dated. Not classic and desirable, just dated and old.

Of course its in Palmer Woods. I thought Arden Park at first, but that is a nicer neighborhood.

It is barely in Detroit in a nicer neighborhood actually. See all the homes here are still standing.

I actually like the late industrialist brick look, but it does look "old" more so than "classic". A number of the buildings on the Georgia Tech campus were built with Carnegie/etc. money and looked like this - so when they added buildings for the Atlanta Olympics, they aped the style with mixed results. This is more competent than that because it's original.
Here's the '23 D. M. Smith building (Carnegie funded):
I figure in about another 50 years, this is due for being *the* thing.

ok, the outside looks classic, but all of the interior (one of the kitchens excepted) is dated. and not just the furnishings, the finishings are old.
